Wonky Food....
After the rally, Va, in her native Londoner wisdom, took us to the world-renowned Wong Kei's restaurant in Chinatown. As we were going in she said 'now they're famous for giving really bad, brusque service!' That's when I thought to myself 'and why are we going?'...
For the EEL of course! Yes, it's true. I felt like trying something new and maybe it was my psychological need for recognition and fear of obscurity (Socionics/MBTI tests), but anyway, I 'dug' in as it were to an Eel/Pork dish....mmm....
Here I am having a yummy time! (However this was before tasting the variety of eel bits and spiny eel bones...in other words, after 5 minutes the 'first-time fun' effect had worn off and I struggled to finish. Mmm...grrahh..llll...ughh...arghh... let's say that eel tastes like rubbery, fatty, fish-tasting fat with spiny bones that made me think they still had electricity in them because of the 'shock' of the spines! This a food I probably shant try A-GAIN!)
