Home Sweet....Graveyard?

September 2005:
Here is the view from my dorm room window! We have a little park down there. The weather was great! Almost too warm.

The other side of St. Andrew's Park, but wait! What are those stones down there?!....

You can see my dorm, Langton Close (former nurses' residence for the nearby Royal Free Hospital), in the background...and even closer, you can see the tombstones! Yes, tombstones! St. Andrew's used to be a graveyard, but they turned it into a park in 1885. I've wondered as I look at skeletons in museums all over Europe how long are human remains sacred. I am thinking that they're 'sacred' as long as you have relatives/peeps who care - once there is a 'break' somewhere, no one cares and they build a car park over you!
